A Post About Pictures

I like to take pictures.  I'm not a pro, but I have fun.  Sometimes pictures can tell a story.

For example, this is my granddaughter, she is wonderful!

This is a collage I made to display some of pictures I have taken of her.  Did I mention she is wonderful?

This is my doggie, Blue.  He is almost 12 years old and I'm sure he can read my mind. When I am sad he doesn't leave my side.  He is a love.

 I love roses.  I actually have 12 rose bushes in my yard.  I always end up with scratches on my hands and arms when I prune them.  My Honey gave me these roses for our 30th Wedding Anniversary!

This is my lovely daughter, aunt to my granddaughter.  My daughter is amazing!

Diet Cherry Coke--preferably served with pebble ice

French fries with lots of salt and yummy fry sauce--Taco Amigo or Purple Turtle!

 and FOOTBALL!  (especially my favorite player!) 

...these are only a FEW of my favorite things!

-probably not a good sign that most of these favorite things are food!

It's Coming...!

I totally love football.  I love all football and will find an excuse to watch any game possible.  But my very favorite football to watch is Micah playing football.  This year it will be JV and Varsity football at PGHS.  I can't wait!

Every Parent's Nighmare...

This is Lucy.  She is three years old.  

Lucy's parents laid her to rest today.

My heart hurts so much for her parents.  Lucy slipped away from the ever watchful eyes of her aunt, mom, and grandmother and was found moments later at the bottom of a hot tub.  She passed away 3 days later.

What a horrible tragedy.  However, the strength of this family, their faith in a loving Heavenly Father, their gratefulness for tender mercies, and their knowledge of the Lord's Plan of Happiness is remarkable.  The are truly inspiring.

At her funeral today, the room was filled with beautiful pictures of Lucy and her family, pink flowers, family and friends, and a small pink casket with a cherubic little girl holding one small pink rose and cuddled by a pink teddy bear.  Clad in white, hair in pig tails, Lucy looked beautifully perfect.  She is home now--home with her Savior, free from the pain of this world.  I am sad.  Sad for her parents and family, sad for the pain the feel, and sad that they will be separated for a time.  I am happy.  Happy that through the Atonement of the Savior, the gospel, and temple ordinances, their family can be together forever!   Sleep well, little Lucy--your family will be together forever.

Pinterest Addict!

Pinterest has turned me into what I never thought I could be...a craft-type person! I love getting ideas on everything, pinning to my numerous boards, following all my friends, and actually trying to make some of the projects.

This is a stuffed-pillow type Easter wreath. Yep, idea from Pinterest, I actually made this all by myself! Amazing!

This one I am actually very proud of...I actually made this up! I used coffee filters to make the flowers, spray painted them, attached them and some plastic eggs to a wire wreath. I then topped it off with a few pieces of green and pink tulle which I tied on to the wreath. I really did this! Yay!
